Project: Brand Identity
Situation: Sapient Health Network was an online community developed for terminally ill patients and their caregivers. Extreme sensitivity was required.
Solution: We developed an identity package for the brand that extended beyond online to print, collateral and advertising. The image of the starfish was important because it was a complex organism that was in fact more like a community, and if it needed to, a starfish has the capacity to re-grow an arm should it lose one. The company was acquired by WebMD and folded into WebMD's offerings. The advertising that WebMD runs nationally still retains our original copy, "there is a place—WebMD is that place".
